MetaFrame Presentation Server Client for Macintosh Readme

Version 7.x

Introduction

This Readme file contains the following information:

For information regarding new features and system requirements, refer to the Client for Macintosh Administrator's Guide.

Finding Documentation

To view, search, and print the PDF documentation, you need Adobe Reader 5.0.5 or later with Search. You can download Adobe Reader for free from the Adobe Systems Web site.

Documentation is also available on the Citrix Knowledge Center Web site (select Product Documentation). Updates to Citrix technical manuals are posted on the Web site.

Document Center

If you use the Document Center to access product documentation, note that you cannot update it with updated manuals or other files because replacing any of the files in the installed \Documentation\docs folder can impair Document Center functionality.

If you want to reinstall the Document Center, you must first remove the installed copy from your system using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Client Documentation

If you have an earlier version of the Client for Macintosh installed, client administrator's guides for that release are located in the \Program Files\Citrix\Documentation\ICA Clients folder. When you upgrade to version 7.x, these documents are not overwritten with the latest version.

Known Issues

Each session always starts with the keypad locked whatever the preceding state

The numeric keypad is locked when a session starts, regardless of whether the NUM LOCK key is currently on or off (as indicated by the LED in the key for users of OS X 10.1 or 10.2). This applies to any session when it starts.

If you have more than one session running simultaneously, pressing NUM LOCK changes the keypad state only for the session that is currently in use. Therefore sessions might have different keypad states irrespective of whether you have pressed the NUM LOCK key.

Having a smart card reader attached can cause client drive mapping and COM port mapping to fail

If a smart card reader is attached to your device then client drive mapping can fail to initialize and you will be unable to access the drives within a session. This can be the case even if no card is in the reader. The problem affects clients that have preconfigured logon credentials and connect to machines running MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 or MetaFrame XP.
